Accessibility Statement
I want everyone to be able to see my work, reach me, and start a conversation, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.
The standard this site follows
ninasimmons.com is designed and tested to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These are the most widely used measure of web accessibility, including by the U.S. Department of Justice.
What that includes
- Every page, link, menu, and form can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text meets minimum color contrast, and meaning is never shown by color alone.
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use clear headings and landmarks, with a link to skip straight to the main content.
- Form fields have labels, required and optional questions are marked, and common details can be filled in automatically.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
- Videos, the scrolling banner, and rotating testimonials loop continuously. You can stop all of them at once with the Pause animations button in the footer of the home page, and the site remembers your choice.
Third-party tools
Some steps use outside services: Calendly for booking a call, LinkedIn, and FormSubmit for delivering the Brand Audit intake form. I choose tools that support accessibility, but I don't control their pages. If one of them gets in your way, contact me and I'll help you finish another way.
Tell me about a barrier
If anything on this site is hard to use, email contact@ninasimmons.com. Tell me which page and what happened. I'll reply within two business days and work with you on a fix, or provide the same information in a format that works for you.
